Fuel markets have moved sharply higher again this week as Middle East uncertainty continues.
Brent crude is trading around $105 per barrel, up more than 2% today as US-Iran talks show little sign of an immediate breakthrough and supply concerns remain.
Diesel markets remain exceptionally tight, with global prices still at historically high levels. Uncertainty around US diesel exports is adding further volatility to an already constrained market.
Sterling has weakened further to around $1.32, reducing the protection for UK buyers against high dollar-priced crude and refined fuel costs.
